Lasersight Thirroul is centrally located on King Street, right in the heart of the village. You’ll find our clinic easily with street-level access, situated directly across from the Thirroul Plaza. With its proximity to local cafes and amenities, visiting us is simple and stress-free for all patients.

Train
Thirroul Station
Thirroul Station is the primary transport hub and is located approximately 600m (an 8-minute walk) from the clinic.
Head east on Railway Parade, turn right onto Lawrence Hargrave Drive, and then left into King Street.
Bus
Lawrence Hargrave Drive
There are several bus stops located on Lawrence Hargrave Drive, just a 1–2 minute walk from King Street.
Route 2: Services Stanwell Park, Coledale, Thirroul, Corrimal, and Wollongong
Routes 90 : Austinmer to Wollongong via Thirroul.
Stop: Look for stops near the intersection of Lawrence Hargrave Dr and King St (near Anita’s Theatre).

Most patients find the most stress-free experience at the Thirroul Plaza Car Park, situated directly opposite the clinic at 2 King Street, which offers 1.5 hours of complimentary parking daily.
Additional timed on-street parking is available along King Street and surrounding side streets for shorter visits. For those who don’t mind a brief, scenic stroll before their appointment, free all-day public parking can also be found at the nearby Church Street carpark or the Thirroul Beach beachfront parking area.

What to expect
We know that visiting an eye clinic for the first time can feel like a big step. Here’s how we’ll guide you through every stage — from your first consultation to the day of your procedure.
Your first appointment is all about determining what your vision issues are, and how we can help you. We’ll conduct some initial testing and examination, and our medical team can then form an opinion and a recommendation.
When you arrive, your complimentary assessment will be completed by Elias Combes. You maybe required to have some extra tests carried out on the day. Allow 45 minutes for this consultation
We’ll let you know exactly what we plan to do, how long it will take, what the recovery will be like, and how much it will cost. We can also let you know if your private insurer will cover any of the cost, and if so, how much.
If you’re happy to proceed, we’ll make an appointment for the procedure. On the day we’ll provide comprehensive pre- and post-operative care, and the procedure itself will be carried out by a highly skilled and experienced surgeon.
