Dr Peter Beckingsale is a highly respected refractive surgeon at LASERSIGHT, specialising in corneal, anterior segment, and refractive surgery. Based at Lasersight Brisbane, Dr Beckingsale is dedicated to helping patients achieve freedom from glasses and contact lenses through advanced laser and lens-based procedures. With a strong focus on innovation, he has pioneered techniques such as corneal endothelial transplantation and is recognised as one of Australia’s most experienced surgeons in this field.

Education & Institute

Dr Beckingsale graduated from the University of Queensland Medical School in 1996, completing his residency and ophthalmology training in Brisbane. He was awarded the prestigious ARVO and RANZCO/Allergan scholarships before undertaking fellowship training in the UK at The West of England Eye Unit and Queen Victoria Hospital in East Grinstead, where he gained subspecialty expertise in corneal, anterior segment, and refractive surgery.
