Biography
Dr Tanya Trinh is a highly accomplished ophthalmologist specialising in cornea, cataract, and refractive surgery. With extensive training and expertise, she is dedicated to helping patients achieve optimal vision through advanced surgical techniques such as LASIK, PRK, and corneal collagen crosslinking. Based in Queensland, Dr Trinh combines a passion for precision with a patient-centred approach, offering customised care tailored to each individual’s needs.
Experience
Dr Trinh has extensive expertise in corneal transplantation, complex anterior segment surgery, ocular surface regeneration, and advanced refractive procedures. As Chief Fellow at the University of Toronto, she was recognised with the Family Lim Memorial Award for her exceptional surgical and teaching skills. She has published over 20 scientific articles, written book chapters on corneal transplantation and ocular surface disease, and presents regularly at national and international conferences. Dr Trinh is also a clinical associate lecturer at the University of Queensland and actively contributes to optometry education and curriculum development.
Education & Institute
Dr Trinh earned her Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery from the University of Queensland, where she was awarded a scholarship in Medical Leadership and the Australian Medical Association of Queensland Harold Plant Prize for Best All Rounded Graduate. She completed specialist ophthalmology training under the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Ophthalmologists (RANZCO) and pursued an advanced two-year fellowship in Cornea, External Diseases, and Refractive Surgery at the University of Toronto, Canada.
