Dr Patrick Versace is a highly respected cataract and refractive surgeon with over 25 years of experience as a specialist ophthalmologist. Based in Sydney, he is known for his pioneering work in refractive surgery and his commitment to providing personalised, collaborative care. Dr Versace has treated thousands of patients with advanced laser vision correction and premium lens implant surgeries, helping them achieve freedom from glasses and contact lenses. His dedication to innovation, teaching, and research has made him a leader in the field of vision correction.

Dr Versace has held prestigious roles as a senior lecturer in Optometry and Medicine at the University of New South Wales and as a Staff Specialist Ophthalmologist at Prince of Wales Hospital and Sydney Eye Hospital. He has played a significant role in developing innovative refractive techniques, including aberrometry-guided surgical correction. Dr Versace has contributed to numerous clinical trials, delivered lectures globally, and served as a Gold Medal lecturer at the Nethradhama meeting in India. He also advises Australia’s TGA Ophthalmic Clinical Advisory Group and the ACMD, ensuring the safe introduction of new technologies. Dr Versace earned his medical degree and Anaesthetic qualifications in London before completing specialist ophthalmology training at Sydney Eye Hospital, becoming a Fellow of the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Ophthalmologists (FRANZCO). His early passion for refractive surgery led him to become one of the first ophthalmologists in Australia to specialise in laser vision correction.
