He graduated from University of Queensland Medical School in 1989 and underwent specialist training in ophthalmology at Royal Brisbane, Princess Alexandra and Mater Hospitals in Brisbane, culminating the Fellowship of Ophthalmology in 1998.
Upon completion of specialist training Australia, he obtained further subspecialty training in glaucoma, cataract and paediatric ophthalmology at the Great Ormond Street Hospital for Sick Children and at Kings College Hospital, London, UK.

Dr. McKee completed his undergraduate medical degree at Otago University, New Zealand. He then underwent specialist training in ophthalmology in Queensland.
After completion of his general ophthalmology training, he embarked on sub-specialty training in refractive (laser vision correction) surgery, corneal and cataract surgery at the Manchester Royal Eye Hospital in the United Kingdom. One of his key areas of interest is related to treatment of corneal and anterior segment problems, including partial thickness corneal transplantation and cross-linking for keratoconus. He also has a keen interest in glaucoma and did sub-specialty training in this area at the Hong Kong Eye Hospital.
He is still active in research and continues to publish papers in high ranking ophthalmology journals and presents his findings at local and international meetings.

He is highly regarded in many laser eye procedures including LASIK, PRK (ASLA), SMILE, ICL and refractive lens exchange (sometimes known as clear lens exchange or lensectomy). Dr Howes is also one of the leading surgeons in the surgical treatments for glaucoma.

He trained at the Sydney Eye Hospital and was awarded the Sydney Eye Hospital Travelling Scholarship and RANZCO Topham Scholarship. Dr Peter Beckingsale graduated from the University of Queensland Medical School in 1996 and completed his residency and ophthalmology training in Brisbane. He was awarded the ARVO and RANZCO/Allergan scholarships. He then went to England for fellowship training at The West of England Eye Unit and then the Queen Victoria Hospital in East Grinstead where he underwent subspecialty training in corneal, anterior segment and refractive surgery.
Dr Beckingsale practices primarily in the areas of corneal and refractive surgery. He has helped pioneer the technique of corneal endothelial transplantation, of which he has performed more than any other surgeon in Australia. Doctor Patrick Versace is a cataract and refractive surgeon with more than 25 years' experience as a specialist ophthalmologist.
He holds appointments as a senior lecturer in Optometry and medicine at The University of New South Wales and Staff Specialist ophthalmologist at The Prince of Wales Hospital Randwick and Sydney Eye Hospital providing clinical service and registrar surgical training. After gaining Anaesthetic qualifications in London Dr Versace completed his specialist ophthalmology training with Sydney Eye Hospital to become a Fellow of the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Ophthalmologists.
He pursued an early passion for refractive surgery to become one of the first ophthalmologists to subspecialise in Laser Vision Correction in Australia. As a lead surgeon with Laser Sight Centres Dr Versace gained experience in all aspects of refractive correction surgery and was involved in the development of several techniques including the use of aberrometry to guide surgical correction.

Dr. Colby Hart is a fellowship trained corneal specialist. He performs refractive laser surgery, as well as all forms of corneal transplantation, including endothelial grafts and keratoprosthesis surgery.
Colby completed his ophthalmology training at the Royal Victorian Eye and Ear Hospital in Melbourne where he currently works in both the cornea and general units. His cornea, refractive surgery and ocular surface disease fellowship was completed in Liverpool in the United Kingdom under the supervision of the revered Professor Stephen Kaye.
Colby has published and presented research projects in association with the Centre for Eye Research Australia, Lions Eye Bank and Liverpool University. He has been awarded multiple prizes at national and international conferences, and his current research interests surround the use of artificial intelligence in ophthalmology and projects that aim to increase corneal donation rates in Australia.
